Troemner General Store Scale

425.00

USA, Late 1800’s, Troemner General Store Scale. Very heavy with incredible patina. Original brass tag is still on the scale.

Henry Troemner started making scales in 1840. He was commissioned by the U.S. Mint of Philadelphia to produce their scales. He made those so well he was later asked to make the bullion scales for the U.S. Treasury.

The black and white photo is of his original store front/factory where this scale was probably produced.

W: 24 x D: 9 x H: 14
